Meet Your Photographer
My name is Erin and I live in the DFW Metroplex. My husband and I got married in 2008, but we have been together since 2000. He is the best airline pilot who ever was and he’s kinda awesome at the husband thing too! Together we have one daughter who was born in 2012. I most recently worked as a social worker, but after the birth of my daughter, I wanted something that would allow me more time with my family. I have always been fascinated with photography, so here I am stepping it up from a hobby to a profession. All my cards on the table- I am ridiculously nervous, yet crazy excited about this big step. I hope my work will be appreciated and treasured for years to come.
My professional interests include the creation and celebration of family. I specialize in lifestyle portraiture for maternity, newborn and family, but my favorite specialty is birth photography. I previously worked in OB/GYN for six years and with the birth of my daughter, I became a “birth junkie.” I just can’t get enough! Adoption photography is another area of great interest. There is just something sacred about the creation of a family, no matter how that family begins, and it is one worth remembering for generations.
My other everyday, simple pleasures and best-things-in-life interests include faith, kindness, laughter, quality time with my family and friends, crafting (my motto is “I can make that!”), cinnamon-flavored coffee, bacon (who doesn’t like bacon?!), board games, volleyball, warm baths and new socks. As a mommy, I breastfeed, baby wear, cloth diaper, make homemade baby food, etc. I had a natural, unmediated birth in a birth center and loved it! And, next, perhaps a home birth??? We shall see when we cross that bridge.
I look forward to getting to know you and it would be my honor to capture those important and precious moments in your life. I am currently offering discounted rates for the purposes of portfolio building. Please contact me at email@example.com or find me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pushphotos for more information.
